The Alpaca Race

About the Event

The Alpaca Race takes place on June 13-14, 2026, in Hisingparken, Gothenburg, Sweden. This trail race offers 1, 3, 5, or 10 laps of a 10.6 km loop with 600 meters of elevation gain per lap — up to 106 km and 6000+ meters of elevation — designed specifically to prepare runners for UTMB and other tough international mountain races.

Event Logistics & Participant Information:

Location: Hisingparken, Gothenburg, Sweden (beautiful park area). Parking at Tuve ishall. Start and depot at IF Kvilles clubhouse — toilets, changing rooms, and facilities available.
Each lap: 10.6 km with 600 meters of elevation gain — same elevation gain per km ratio as UTMB.
Medal: All participants receive a medal showing how far they ran (lap count indicated).
Course Preview: Opportunity to pre-run the Alpaca Race course before race day (date TBD).
Registration: Sign up via website. Choose number of laps carefully — only a few runners have completed the full distance!
Food & Amenities: Information available on Race Day page regarding what food is available and what to bring.
