The 35th Durham Dales Challenge

About the Event

Experience the stunning landscapes of Durham Moors and Dales on June 19, 2027, with this challenging walk and run event. Participants can choose between two scenic routes: a grueling 30-mile trek or a more manageable 14-mile course. Both events start at 8:30 AM from the Masonic Hall in Wolsingham.
The longer route features breathtaking moorland vistas and rugged terrain, with a strict cut-off time of 3 PM for leaving Middleton-in-Teesdale checkpoint to ensure safety. The shorter route offers similar scenic beauty but over half the distance, providing an equally rewarding experience within a more compact timeframe. Both routes are supported by refreshment stations along the way, offering essential sustenance throughout your journey.
At the finish line, participants will be greeted with a hot meal and options catering to various dietary preferences—meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike will find something delicious to enjoy after their efforts. This event not only celebrates the natural beauty of Durham but also supports Teesdale & Weardale Search & Rescue Team through significant donations.
With limited spots available for 300 participants, early registration is highly recommended to secure your place in this memorable adventure.
