The Dalby Dash 10k returns on Remembrance Sunday, November 8th, at 11:02 AM, honoring service men and women with a poignant moment of silence before the race begins. Organized by Pickering Running Club, this scenic trail run celebrates its commitment to veterans and community support. Participants will embark from Low Dalby's Visitor’s Centre on a challenging yet rewarding course that showcases the beauty of North Yorkshire. The route features a mix of firm tarmac roads and hard trails through the forest, offering runners stunning views throughout their journey. The highlight is undoubtedly reaching the summit of House Dale Hill; the first male and female to conquer this ascent will be rewarded with special prizes. The race continues along the ridge on gravel paths before descending rapidly down to the beck for a thrilling finish back at Low Dalby. Alongside the exhilarating run, runners are encouraged to bring their families who can enjoy the day in the forest without additional cost. Entry fees of £18 for EA club members and £20 for non-club participants (plus booking fees) go entirely towards organizing this event and supporting local charities: Pickering Rotarians, Veterans Charity Rock2Recovery, and Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team. Participants will receive a commemorative prize upon completion. Volunteers from Sharon Lynn's team, along with the dedicated members of Pickering Rotary Club and SRMRT, ensure that every runner’s safety is prioritized while enjoying an unforgettable experience in one of Britain's most beautiful race settings. Transfer requests for entry spots can be made through BookitZone until October 30th at 11:00 AM; no refunds or deferrals will be offered. Join the community on Remembrance Sunday and contribute to a meaningful cause, while challenging yourself with an inspiring course that highlights both natural beauty and camaraderie.

About North Yorkshire
Learn more about the host city, North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire is a county in Yorkshire in northern England. Yorkshire was a huge county, the largest in England, so it was traditionally divided into three "ridings" which were later re-organised into four counties. So North Yorkshire is about half the area of Yorkshire, yet still the largest present-day county.
