Get ready for the Tamarac Triathlon — a fun, high-energy race with a welcoming small-town vibe! Held at scenic Fremont Lake Park, this sprint triathlon features a 750-meter swim, 12.4-mile bike ride, and 5K run, perfect for both seasoned athletes and first-timers. Whether you’re chasing a PR or just want to try something new, this event offers a supportive atmosphere, great community spirit, and a beautiful course. Limited to just 150 participants, it’s sure to be a standout summer event — so don’t wait! Register today! Course maps are shown on the website.
Awards will be given out at the end of the event. Please stick around for the announcements of overall finishers, masters, and age group winners.
Swim Portion of the race: We will have 3 waves with 50 swimmers in each wave for racers.
Train for the Tamarac Tri with Tracey! Come practice swimming and running in preparation for the Tri. Get comfortable in open water swimming and transitions. Contact Tracey with questions @ tracey.crowley@corewellhealth.org if interested in training for the Tamarac Tri.

Nervous About the Swim? No Problem!
If you’re not a strong or confident swimmer, we’ve got you covered. We recommend signing up for Wave 2 or Wave 3, which are designed for participants who prefer a more relaxed pace in the water. You’re also welcome to use a life jacket, kickboard, or other approved flotation aids to help you complete the swim safely and confidently.
This race is about participation, fun, and personal achievement—so don’t let the swim hold you back!
Swim:
You are welcome to wear a bodysuit or use a lifejacket, kickboard or other approved flotation aid to help you complete the swim safely and confidently. Emergency volunteers will be in the water to assist, if needed.
Bike:
Helmets are required for the bike portion of the race. You will be PROHIBITED from participation if you don’t have an approved helmet. Helmets MUST be buckled in place during ALL aspects of the bike race. Failing to have your helmet buckled will result in a D.Q.
Run:
There will be one water station located on the 5K run located at approximately the 1.5-mile marker.
Registration is open until August 5, 2027. Last day to register and guarantee a race shirt is July 22, 2027. No refunds, no transfers
