Talan's Notorious Trail, located at Widemouth Bay near Bude, is an exhilarating looped trail race that caters to runners of all levels. Participants can choose between three durations: 6 hours, 12 hours, or the grueling 24-hour option. The route takes you through a scenic nature trail leading up to the Weir and then returns along the picturesque Bude canal. This year, Talan's Notorious Trail introduces two new events for younger participants: a single loop race open to runners aged 16 years and older, and a Cub Fun Run designed specifically for children between ages 4 and 15. Both of these additions aim to foster a love for running while providing an enjoyable experience in the great outdoors. Camping is included with your entry fee, offering you a comfortable place to rest after each loop or during breaks from the race. The campsite is conveniently located right next to Bay View Inn, making it easy to access all necessary amenities and facilities. All proceeds beyond operational costs are donated to Talan's Trust, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding research into childhood cancers. By participating in this event, you not only challenge yourself physically but also contribute towards a worthy cause. For detailed race rules, schedules, camping information, and other important details, be sure to visit the official website at https://www.buderats.co.uk/talansnotorioustrail. Additionally, participants have the option of purchasing XCover insurance, which allows for potential refunds in case unforeseen circumstances prevent their participation. Talan's Notorious Trail promises a memorable and rewarding experience for all runners involved, blending challenging terrain with beautiful scenery and a strong sense of community spirit. Join us at Widemouth Bay this year to celebrate the sport of running while making a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer.
