About the Event

Tails on Trails 2026 takes place on Saturday, 30 May 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT at Bechtel Park, Bridge Street West, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This community fundraising race supports the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford Perth. Participants can choose between a 5K timed race (with or without a dog companion), a 2.5K untimed fun run/walk (with or without a dog), or the 200m Pup Run for shorter legs and wagging tails. The course is a 2.5 km loop — one loop for the 2.5K, two loops for the 5K.

Event schedule:

8:30 AM – Kit Pick Up begins
10:00 AM – 5K starts
10:30 AM – 2.5K starts
11:10 AM – Pup Run starts

Sponsors include Civilian Screen Printing, AMJ, Lululemon, Vive Developments, and Running Room. As of now, 238 participants have raised CA$5,342.85 toward a CA$10,000 goal (53%). Top fundraising teams include Team CanixKW, SydFit, HSKWSP Zoomies, Steeltown Canicross, and Catalyst Crew.
