The SwimCross concept features diverse obstacles spread around the picturesque lake of Objat and within the EcoPiscine grounds, including various water-based and land-based hurdles. Trained staff from the local swimming pool and partnering sports clubs will guide you through each challenge.
Choose your adventure with two race formats: a 4 km or an 8 km course to suit all fitness levels. No prior long-distance swimming experience is required; just know how to swim, and you're good to go! SwimCoaches are on hand to support and motivate participants as they tackle the obstacles.
The event kicks off at EcoPiscine's parking lot with check-ins starting precisely at 9:15 AM. Participants will receive a thorough briefing on rules and course layout before warming up for their race wave, ensuring an organized start. Changing facilities are available, but limited access to public showers is noted due to the event’s nature.
Spectators are encouraged to join in the fun and enjoy the festive atmosphere from the sidelines. Dress appropriately: shorts, a T-shirt, and running shoes for land-based sections; swimwear suitable for brief water crossings with optional goggles if needed. No swimsuits required—just remember to remove your footwear before entering the water.
A complimentary official race shirt awaits participants at Intersport Brive-La-Gaillarde store post-event. The minimum age requirement is 16 years, though parental consent forms are necessary for minors. Good physical fitness is essential for participation in this event.
