Swim4Brains IJsselmeer Oversteek 2027

Swim4Brains gathers swimmers, coaches, skippers, volunteers, and supporters annually for an extraordinary adventure. Whether swimming solo or as part of an estafette team, participants take on the challenge of crossing the vast IJsselmeer (22km) in open water. The event spans several hours, with conditions varying due to wind and waves, but all share a common goal: raising as much money as possible for brain research through their efforts.
The race offers an immersive experience against nature’s elements, testing participants' endurance and mental fortitude. Skippers provide crucial support from boats, ensuring safety while cheering on the swimmers. Alongside this physical challenge is a strong community spirit, with supporters lining up to cheer and contribute financially towards vital brain research initiatives.
This unique event not only pushes personal boundaries but also makes a significant impact in advancing medical knowledge and supporting those affected by neurological conditions.
