Set against the vibrant backdrop of Reykjavik's Laugardalur park, the upcoming race on June 24, 2027, offers runners an unforgettable experience through one of Iceland’s most scenic urban landscapes. Participants can choose from three distances: a half marathon, a 10 km race, and a 5 km event, each offering unique challenges and breathtaking views.
The course begins at Engjavegur Street and winds its way through Laugardalur, where runners will be greeted by the lush greenery that characterizes this area in late spring. The route is carefully measured by an AIMS-certified measurer to ensure accuracy and fairness for all competitors. Runners of various skill levels can participate either competitively or recreationally.
After crossing the finish line near the historic old springs, participants are invited to relax at Laugardalslaug, a geothermal outdoor swimming pool renowned for its therapeutic waters. This inviting facility provides an ideal place to unwind and socialize with fellow runners while enjoying the serene surroundings of Reykjavik's largest park.
