Stride Forward 5K The Inaugural YWCA of the Niagara Frontier 5K Date: Saturday, April 17, 2027 Start Time: 9:00 AM Location: Downtown North Tonawanda (Start/Finish near 49 Tremont St, North Tonawanda, NY 14120) Be part of history at the Stride Forward 5K, the first-ever 5K hosted by the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier! Join us for a beautiful morning run through the heart of Downtown North Tonawanda while supporting an incredible cause. The Course The race kicks off on Tremont Street, right next to the First United Methodist Church (65 Main St). Runners will cut down a neighboring side street and turn onto Sweeney Street. From there, enjoy a fast, flat, out-and-back journey right alongside the beautiful Historic Erie Canal before heading back to finish exactly where you started. Registration & Pricing Registration opens on October 1, 2026. Sign up early to secure the best price! Your registration includes an adult unisex t-shirt, a goody bag, and a finisher's medal. Early Bird Registration: $30.00 (Ends December 31, 2026) General Registration: $35.00 (January 1, 2027 – March 31, 2027) Late Registration: $45.00 (April 1, 2027 – April 16, 2027) Want to run for free? Top Finishers: Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers. Packet Pick-Up Pre-Race: April 15 & 16 at the YWCA building (49 Tremont St) inside Sprinkles Cafe. Race Day: Available at the on-site registration booth prior to the 9:00 AM start. Post-Race Festivities Don’t head home once you cross the finish line! The celebration continues right on Tremont Street in front of the YWCA building. About the Beneficiary All proceeds from the Stride Forward 5K benefit the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier, a nonprofit organization that acts as a catalyst for change in the lives of those who need it most. Through services in gender equality, education, crisis services, childcare, and more, the YWCA builds a strong support network, providing women and their families with the resources they need to lead the lives they deserve.
