Strade Brute - Franciacorta Gravel

Strade Brute offers cyclists an unvarnished and brutally honest experience, far from the polished world of competitive racing. This non-competitive day is dedicated to those who embrace true hardship on two wheels, celebrating the grit and discomfort that comes with cycling through challenging terrain.
The philosophy behind Strade Brute strips away romantic notions and puts raw reality at its core. Regardless of whether you arrive in sleek carbon fiber bikes or battered old bicycles, everyone ends up equally humbled by the day's demands. The course winds through the rugged side of Franciacorta, featuring steep dirt climbs, vineyard trails, and stretches where cyclists are forced to push their bikes uphill.
The route alternates between rough stony paths, technical sections, muddy patches, and unpredictable weather conditions that transform a casual ride into an endurance test. Cyclists can choose from two routes: the Bruto course at 90 kilometers with 1500 meters of elevation gain, or the (Less) Bruto option covering 70 kilometers with 900 meters of ascent.
After crossing the finish line, participants are rewarded in a lively Village setting. Here, they can indulge in rivers of beer, hearty meals, and live music—a fitting celebration for those who have endured the day's challenges.
Strade Brute is not just about pushing physical limits but also about community and camaraderie, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.
