The event is organized by three local clubs in collaboration with Janne Vängman's Torpet community center to create an inclusive experience for families. Participants can expect live music performances, engaging theatrical acts, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a day out in nature with loved ones. The trail has been relocated this year to the serene surroundings around Janne Vängman’s Torpet in Risnäs, providing runners with new vistas and fresh challenges.
For children who wish to participate, there is also an additional mini-run designed specifically for younger athletes, allowing them to explore their own paths through the woods. This family-friendly event encourages everyone from novice walkers to seasoned trail runners to partake in a day filled with joyous movement and breathtaking scenery.
On-site amenities include a cozy popup café serving hot drinks, hamburgers, snacks, baked goods, and souvenirs at various stalls throughout the venue. Enjoy live entertainment, raffles for exciting prizes, and a lively atmosphere that keeps participants engaged long after completing their runs or walks.
Registration fees vary depending on age groups: adults pay 300 SEK, teenagers (13-19 years) are charged 150 SEK, while children under the age of 12 can join for just 50 SEK. Early bird discounts apply to adult registrations made before specific dates leading up to August 24th.
All proceeds from Stigsjö Trail support local community initiatives by the Stigsjö Sports Club and other participating organizations in Risnäs, ensuring that your participation contributes positively to the area’s vibrant sports culture.
