Steps for Change Children's Challenge

Join the Steps for Change Children's Challenge on Sunday, September 20, 2026, for a heartwarming family adventure along the Thames. This scenic stroll or run offers participants of all ages and abilities an opportunity to enjoy the historic beauty of Kingston Bridge and Hampton Court Palace while supporting Able Child’s mission to ensure no child with disabilities is left behind.
The event features both 10K and 5K routes, catering to walkers, runners, wheelchair users, and those pushing buggies. The journey begins at Kingston Bridge and follows a picturesque path along the Thames River towards Hampton Court Palace before returning back. At the grand gates of Hampton Court Palace, participants reach their half-way point where they can enjoy coffee, snacks, and refreshments.
Those taking on the full 10K route will experience breathtaking views and rich history as they traverse between Kingston Bridge and Hampton Court Palace twice. Meanwhile, those opting for the shorter 5K distance have the option to conclude their adventure at this halfway mark if desired.
Registration opens promptly at 9:00 AM with a start time of 9:45 AM sharp. The event concludes by 11:45 AM, offering participants ample opportunity to enjoy the scenery and community spirit while raising funds for Able Child's vital work.
Each participant will receive a free T-shirt upon registration, providing an excellent canvas for personalization or creative dressing-up ideas. Early bird discounts are available until May 31st, with group rates also offered for those looking to make it a morning out with friends and family.
