St. Kateri's Run/Walk with the Son for Haiti 5K

Voted "Best Overall Race" 2022 by PTC St. Kateri’s Run/Walk with the Son for Haiti 5K Saturday Dec.5, 2026 St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church 3800 Big Bethel Rd. Yorktown, 23693 This year, 2026, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Run with the Son for Haiti 5K, and we again hope to bring friends and sponsors of Haiti together for this fun family event. The race features pickup food and drinks before and after the race, live music performed by the Tabb HS Jazz Band, and lots of give-aways, raffles, and a silent auction. All proceeds go directly to educating Haitian children in Boucan Carre, Haiti. Last year the race monies provided over 300 students with school tuition, uniforms, books, a daily vitamin and a hot meal for the entire school year. Presenting Sponsor: 1130 Big Bethel Rd. Well marked, flat and fast course. AWARDS Top 3 overall Men and Women runners Top 3 in 16 age groups through 80+ and above run finishers Top 3 Men and Women walk finishers HIGH SCHOOL CHALLENGE Trophy to the winning high school team (average top 5 runners) Defending Champions: Tabb High School ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL TROPHY – Win a trophy to be displayed at your school for the year by having the most runners participate. Peninsula Track Club Grand Prix Event and Hampton Roads Super Grand Prix. Peninsula Track Club timed race. No PTC passes accepted at event. No official times after 45 minutes from start of race.
