Spunch! returns to the vibrant Market Quarter in Congleton on November 11, 2026, inviting runners and walkers alike for an adventurous mini-treasure hunt. This friendly event offers a unique experience with colorful maps and satellite punching via the MapRun app on smartphones or wearable devices.
Participants can choose from three course durations: 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes, allowing flexibility to explore as much terrain as desired between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. With over 60 SpunchPoints scattered across the area, this event promises a variety of challenges for all ages and abilities.
The route blends urban and natural landscapes with roughly half on-road paths and half off-road trails along the Dane River and through Astbury Mere parklands. The terrain includes undulating sections but also offers flatter alternatives, ensuring there's something to suit every level of experience.
Dogs are welcome on leashes, adding a family-friendly atmosphere to this autumn evening adventure when it will be dark from 5:00 PM onwards. High-visibility clothing and torches are essential for safety in the dim light conditions.
Registration opens at 5:30 PM with ample parking available near The Foundry venue. Post-event refreshments, including food specials and drinks from various Market Quarter outlets, await participants after their adventure.
