Springtime Mariestad 2027

Springtime Mariestad – Stadsloppet für Alle Since 1982
Every April, the streets of Mariestad transform into a festive running arena as Springtime Mariestad kicks off. Organized by Mariestads AIF and Korpen Mariestad, this event caters to runners of all levels—from competitive athletes to families with young children.
This year’s edition on April 24th is part of the Västsvenska Löparcupen series. The race offers multiple distances for various age groups and skill levels:
- A challenging 10 km course (two laps) starts at noon, featuring senior and veteran categories.
- For younger participants, an exciting 5 km run begins at 12:00 PM with classes for youth aged PF 15 to PF 19.
- An inclusive fun run welcomes all ages and abilities, including a special event for preschoolers covering 500 meters and elementary school children (grades 1 through 6) running 2 kilometers.
All events start and finish at the heart of Mariestad’s town square. The atmosphere is electric with music, cheering crowds, and an array of activities for spectators to enjoy.
Participants can look forward to a scenic route that winds through historic neighborhoods, past charming shops, and along picturesque waterways—perfectly capturing the essence of spring in this Swedish city.
