On June 20, 2027, the Skip Matthews Memorial Run returns to celebrate two remarkable individuals who lived life with passion and determination despite facing unimaginable challenges. The day kicks off at 9:00 am with a heartwarming 1-mile Brady Bukowski Fun Run/Walk in memory of Brady, an enthusiastic preschooler whose zest for life inspired everyone around him. Participants will gather on the picturesque Lebanon green to start their journey along Bank Street towards the old Lebanon Junior High School. The route then merges onto the Northern Rail Trail where runners and walkers can enjoy a scenic path lined with trees and lush landscapes before returning to Colburn Park, marking the end of this uplifting event that honors Brady's spirit. At 10:00 am, the race transitions into a more challenging yet equally inspiring 4-mile run dedicated to Skip Matthews. An exceptional friend, parent, and husband who passed away in October 2003 after battling cancer with remarkable strength, Skip left an enduring legacy of love and resilience that continues to inspire. The 4-mile route begins at the Lebanon green and follows the Northern Rail Trail for two miles before turning onto Riverside Drive toward the historic Packard Covered Bridge. Runners will then head back along Bank Street Ext., finishing strong in Colburn Park where a festive atmosphere awaits with friends, family, and supporters cheering on participants. This USATF-certified race (NH16007BK) offers chip timing for an accurate record of each runner's performance while celebrating the enduring impact Skip Matthews had on his community. Join us to pay tribute to these beloved figures whose lives continue to inspire others through this meaningful event.
