SEARATHON - India's First Maritime Awareness & Public Engagement Run

SEARATHON is an unprecedented running event that honors India's maritime sector and celebrates the unsung heroes who keep global supply chains moving. This unique race, held on October 11, 2026, at Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) in Mumbai, aims to recognize seafarers' critical role in ensuring the prosperity of nations through their tireless work.
Every day, millions of Indians rely on goods transported across oceans—fuel, medicines, food, clothing, and more. Behind these essential supplies are dedicated maritime professionals who spend months at sea, often away from loved ones, to maintain global connectivity. SEARATHON is a tribute to the seafarers who lost their lives in the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting the risks they face every day.
More than just a race, this event brings together diverse groups including students, maritime professionals, merchant navy cadets, port and logistics workers, corporate teams, running communities, families, and senior citizens. Participants will not only enjoy a challenging course but also engage in activities that promote awareness of India's growing maritime industry and the importance of seafarers.
The event kicks off at 6:30 AM with participants reporting by 5:00 AM. With an expected turnout of over 5,000 runners, SEARATHON offers a range of features such as timed bibs, premium medals, running photographs, and digital certificates. The day will be filled with activities like Zumba sessions and a healthy breakfast to energize the participants.
The event also includes a maritime-themed marathon and a tribute wall dedicated to seafarers who have made significant sacrifices for their country and the global community. Additionally, there will be celebrity appearances and an anchor leading the festivities, adding to the excitement of this unique race experience.
Prizes worth over 1 lakh rupees will be distributed among top performers in various categories, making SEARATHON a rewarding event both competitively and personally. Participants are encouraged to register early as the registration fees are non-refundable. In case of postponement or cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, registrations may be transferred to the next edition of SEARATHON.
