Santa's Fun Run

Join us on November 28, 2026, for Santa's Fun Run in Le Mars! This festive race features both a timed 5K and an untimed Kid’s Dash. The 5K route starts at the Olson Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars, leading runners through charming residential areas before heading onto scenic recreation trails.
Participants are encouraged to embrace the holiday spirit by dressing up in Santa suits, ugly Christmas sweaters, or any festive attire they choose. Prizes will be awarded for first place overall male and female winners as well as top three finishers in each age group division. There’s also a special BEST DRESSED AWARD for runners who put extra effort into their holiday-themed outfits.
The race day festivities begin with packet pickup at the KC Hall on Saturday, November 29th from 8:00 to 9:30 AM, where you can register if needed and pick up your swag. The Kid’s Dash kicks off just before the main event, offering a fun out-and-back course for young runners.
After crossing the finish line, stick around at Olson Cultural Center Event Center for awards presentations scheduled for approximately 11:00 AM. Winners will receive certificates or prizes based on their performance in age categories and overall rankings.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up:
- By November 15th: $35
- From November 16th to 27th: $40
- On race day: $45
For the Kid’s Dash, there is a flat fee of $10. Please note that streets will not be closed during the event and volunteers will assist with traffic control.
Participants are reminded to use caution when wearing earbuds or headphones for safety reasons. Young children must run alongside an adult guardian throughout the 5K course. No dogs are allowed, and there are no refunds due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
