Saint Cuthbert's Way Ultra

Experience one of Britain's most iconic long-distance routes as you take on this challenging race. Set against the backdrop of stunning coastal scenery, participants will navigate a fully waymarked course that offers both runners and walkers an unforgettable adventure.
The route follows the popular St Cuthbert’s Way, known for its dramatic landscapes and rich history. As you make your way through this picturesque setting, be prepared to face one of nature's most formidable adversaries: the tide. Runners must carefully time their progress along sections that are vulnerable to rising waters, adding an extra layer of excitement and strategy to the event.
Supporting runners throughout their journey will be six timed check points equipped with all necessary supplies for hydration and nutrition. These checkpoints not only serve as vital rest stops but also provide opportunities to track your performance accurately against others through live GPS tracking technology. This feature allows friends, family, and fellow competitors to follow along virtually from anywhere in the world.
Whether you are a seasoned ultra runner or someone looking to tackle their first major challenge on foot, this event offers an incredible blend of natural beauty and personal achievement. Recce runs ahead of race day give participants ample opportunity to familiarize themselves with the route’s twists and turns before facing them under competitive conditions.
