Celebrate the enduring spirit of Country and Pop icon Dolly Parton on March 14, 2027, with our Running 9 to 5 event. This tribute run is an inclusive celebration honoring her life and legacy, inviting runners from all walks of life to join in a day filled with music, memories, and miles.
The Dare Valley Country Park offers the perfect backdrop for this unique challenge, featuring well-maintained footpaths that wind through scenic landscapes. The course itself allows participants full control over their distance; ranging from 3km up to ultra distances like marathons or even 50 kilometers. Younger runners can enjoy shorter lap options while still adhering to UK Athletics age restrictions.
As a licensed event by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules, this run welcomes members of affiliated clubs with discounts on entry fees. Members also benefit from lower registration costs and receive exclusive mini-me medal pins at every race they attend.
Upon crossing the finish line after completing your chosen distance, you'll be greeted not only by a themed Dolly Parton-inspired medal but also an array of special pins for those who tackle half-marathons or further distances.
