About the Event

Join Run the Tangents Timing for the annual RunGiving 5K and Fun Run on November 26, 2026. This community-driven race aims to support Broad Street Ministry Center's food pantry and clothing room by collecting non-perishable goods from participants before the start of the event.
The morning will begin with a heartwarming spirit as runners gather at Mill Village Trailhead (109 Eve St., Augusta, GA 30904) for an early start. The 5K race kicks off promptly at 9:00 AM and follows a scenic route along the canal towpath, blending concrete paths with sections of gravel and dirt trails. Participants will enjoy views of the picturesque waterways as they make their way through Augusta's charming landscapes.
For those looking for a more relaxed experience, there’s also a Fun Run starting at 10:00 AM on the same trailhead. This shorter run heads out to a designated cone before turning around and returning to the start line, offering families and beginners an opportunity to enjoy the day together while contributing to a good cause.
Registration remains open until race morning up to 8:45 AM for those who haven’t signed up yet. Early packet pickup is available on November 25th from 3 PM to 7 PM at Fleet Feet Augusta (229 Fury's Ferry Road, Augusta, GA). On the day of the event, packets will be distributed starting at 8:00 AM until 8:50 AM.
Participants who register by October 24, 2026, are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Virtual runner registration is also an option for those unable to attend in person but still wish to support the cause and receive their virtual packet which includes items from local sponsors.
Parking will be available at The Salvation Army Kroc Center (1833 Broad St., Augusta, GA). For more information or sponsorship opportunities, contact Stacey at 706-306-1167 or via email at [email protected].
Bring a canned good to donate and join the community in giving thanks through running on Thanksgiving morning.
