On October 24th at 8:00 a.m., the World Golf Village will host the inaugural Run For Your Life 5K and Fun Run, organized by The Mitchell and Lauren Ghaneie Foundation. This community-driven event aims to raise funds for Baptist Health's ER Tower in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.
The foundation was established with the vision of supporting local families in nurturing their children through access to quality healthcare, education, and environmental stewardship. By fostering innovation and removing barriers, they seek to empower communities across First Coast to thrive together.
Participants will gather at 7:00 a.m. for packet pickup until 7:55 a.m., followed by the start of the 5K race at 8:00 a.m. The Fun Run for children aged 12 and under begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up, with discounts available early in the registration period:
- $30 through July 5th
- $35 from July 6th to August 31st
- $40 from September 1st to October 18th
- $45 starting October 19th and on race day
For those participating in the Fun Run, T-shirts are available for a fee:
- $10 from September 1st to October 18th
- $20 starting October 19th through race day
Awards will be presented approximately at 9:10 a.m. Recognitions include top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group awards for both genders in various categories.
