Runamuck 50k

The Runamuck 50k returns to Saskadena Six ski area on April 10, 2027, promising an exhilarating yet grueling journey through the rugged terrain of South Pomfret, Vermont. This challenging course spans approximately 30 miles over hilly dirt roads with a modest stretch of pavement near the halfway mark. With nearly 4,000 feet of elevation gain, runners will face relentless climbs and descents through dense forests and rolling hills, punctuated by steep pitches that test endurance.
Mother Nature's unpredictable temperament adds an extra layer of challenge; expect gusty winds, muddy trails, rain showers, or even a dusting of snow as conditions can rapidly change during the race. The course is designed to push runners to their limits with strict time constraints—participants must complete the route within 8 hours.
Support along the way includes two fully stocked aid stations at miles 12 and 23, offering essential supplies like water, soda, and an abundance of snacks. Additionally, there are smaller water stops around mile markers 6 and 27 where runners can grab orange slices and banana segments to fuel their journey back to the finish line at Saskadena Six.
