Run4Kids

The Run4Kids 5K returns to Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 27th, aiming to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Participants will gather at the Tennessee Riverwalk – Hubert Fry Center for this sixth annual event. The race starts at 9:00 am sharp and is followed by a family fun fest from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm, providing a venue where everyone can enjoy themselves after the run.
Since its inception in 2021, Run4Kids has grown significantly, attracting hundreds of participants each year. The event not only raises vital funds but also strengthens bonds within Chattanooga's community by bringing families together to support one another and those who are critically ill or injured.
The course venue is a mix of firm and slightly soft terrain along the riverbank. Participants will navigate through the picturesque surroundings of Tennessee Riverwalk, which offers scenic views that make for an enjoyable run despite the conditions being somewhat challenging due to the UV index rated at Very High on race day. The 5K distance winds through the neighborhood, passing by several landmarks including the iconic Hubert Fry Center.
At the starting line, runners will find themselves in a bustling area with spectators and volunteers ready to welcome them. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy post-race refreshments before exploring the family fun fest activities. The course includes an aid station for hydration needs along the way but otherwise is straightforward, ensuring a safe journey.
The race offers both adults and families the opportunity to participate in either the 5K or the 1 Mile Walk. The distances are precisely measured: 5 kilometers for those aiming for a more challenging run, and 1.6 kilometers for walkers of all ages who wish to join in the fun without running the full distance.

Bibs can be picked up on race day from 8:00 am onwards at Hubert Fry Center, where participants should also bring a photo ID to prove age eligibility if necessary.
The run begins at Tennessee Riverwalk – Hubert Fry Center. Participants must be at least 16 years old to register for the 5K and can participate in both races with family members as long as they are 7 or older.
