Run Madtown - 2027

Run Madtown returns in 2027 to kick off summer with vibrant energy and iconic flamingo flair right at the heart of the University of Wisconsin, Madison campus. This two-day running festival promises an unforgettable experience filled with high spirits, scenic routes, and a community that knows how to celebrate.
On Saturday evening, choose between Rudy’s Rainbow Mile or the Twilight 5K for a fun-filled start to your weekend. As you navigate through colorful courses under the glow of twilight skies, soak in the lively atmosphere and feel the spirit of camaraderie among runners of all ages. For those looking for more distance on Sunday morning, opt for either the 10K or Half Marathon as they weave through Madison’s picturesque lakes and historic landmarks.
For an extra challenge, consider taking part in multiple event distances with one of our multi-event packages to make it a full weekend experience. Whether you're aiming for personal bests, enjoying a leisurely stroll with friends, or simply here to revel in the festive spirit, Run Madtown welcomes everyone at every pace and celebrates each runner’s unique journey.
The routes wind through Madison's stunning lakes, historic sites, and vibrant neighborhoods, offering breathtaking views and enthusiastic crowds cheering you on. After crossing the finish line into one of the most spirited post-race parties, expect to be greeted with music, glitter, smiles, and plenty of summer vibes that keep everyone energized all weekend long.
Gather your friends or family, plan a race-cation, and join us in Madison for an unforgettable kickoff to summer. Four event distances over two days create one incredible flock where every member feels welcome and celebrated.
Join the festivities and immerse yourself in Run Madtown’s unique blend of scenic beauty, community spirit, and joyful celebration this June.
