Run Ballybunion 2027

On March 27, 2027, Ballybunion celebrates the 18th anniversary of Run Ballybunion, an event renowned for its breathtaking coastal scenery and challenging yet rewarding course. Nestled along Ireland's rugged Atlantic coast, runners will experience a stunning blend of seafront promenades and cliffside trails that wind through the charming town of Ballybunion.
The race offers several distances including a half marathon, 10k run, and a family-friendly 5k event, all featuring chip timing to ensure accurate results. Participants can expect scenic views at every turn as they navigate around picturesque beaches and along historic cliffs. The atmosphere is electric with the support of local volunteers from Ballybunion Sea & Cliff Rescue, who provide crucial safety measures throughout the race.
For those unable to join in person on Easter Saturday, a Virtual Run Ballybunion option allows runners worldwide to participate by completing their chosen distance wherever they are and sharing their experience online using the hashtag #runBallybunion2027. All profits from this event go directly back into supporting the volunteer rescue service.
Race day will see participants receive commemorative T-shirts and medals, while top finishers in various age categories for both men and women will be awarded prizes in each race distance. This year's Run Ballybunion promises to deliver an unforgettable experience that combines athletic challenge with community spirit and stunning coastal beauty.
