Experience the ultimate trail running adventure as you take on the lush trails of Afan Forest. This final race of the 2026 Run the Trails series offers two challenging distances, a scenic 5km route and an exhilarating 10km course, designed to cater to both novice runners and seasoned athletes.
Set against the backdrop of stunning Welsh woodland, this event promises breathtaking views at every turn. The varied terrain includes rolling hills, winding paths through dense forest, and serene open spaces that will test your endurance while rewarding you with natural beauty. As part of the RTT Series, Run the Trails Afan Forest not only marks a significant milestone in the season but also determines the overall standings for the year.
Registration opens at 09:00 on race day, providing ample time to familiarize yourself with the course and the surroundings before the event kicks off. A mandatory briefing begins at 10:50, ensuring all participants are well-informed about safety measures and route details. The start times for both distances are set for 11:00.
Participants can expect a fully marked and marshalled racecourse with water stations strategically placed along the way to keep you hydrated throughout your run. Upon crossing the finish line, you'll receive a commemorative medal celebrating your achievement in this iconic forest setting. The day concludes at 13:00 with an award ceremony where the champions of the RTT Series will be crowned.
