About the Event

Nestled in the heart of Amsterdam, the Winter Run on December 20, 2026, offers runners an enchanting experience through the city's historic canals and vibrant squares. As winter sets in, participants will glide past glistening ice-skating rinks and twinkling Christmas markets under a canopy of fairy lights. The route winds its way through iconic landmarks such as Dam Square and Leidseplein, immersing runners in the festive spirit of Amsterdam.
The course is designed to showcase both the city's architectural beauty and its dynamic energy, with participants weaving between bustling cafes and quiet alleyways that come alive at this time of year. The terrain is mostly flat but includes a few gentle inclines around some historic bridges, providing a challenge for runners while allowing them to appreciate Amsterdam’s unique charm.
As dawn breaks on the day of the race, runners will be greeted by enthusiastic crowds lining the streets and cheering as they pass through neighborhoods adorned with seasonal decorations. This event promises not only an unforgettable run but also an opportunity to explore one of Europe's most beloved cities during its magical winter season.
The Winter Run is more than just a race; it’s an invitation to embrace the festive atmosphere, connect with fellow runners, and create lasting memories in Amsterdam's enchanting winter wonderland.
