14th Annual Rockin Choccolocco 50K (Point to Point), 25K, 10K & Kids Run

All races traverse on the beautiful Pinhoti Trail giving you the love for flowing single-track trail.

Course Descriptions:

50K The Rockin Choccolocco 50K UltraMarathon Race is a point-to-point trail that runs on the Pinhoti Trail until connecting on the Heflin Spur for the last 2 miles. The race starts on FS 532 (near Greenleaf Dam), and finishes at the stunning Cahulga Creek Park, 343 Mountain St in Heflin AL. Along the run you will experience scenic overlooks, creek crossings, lakes, hardwood and pine forests. 95% of the course is run on beautiful single-track trails on the Pinhoti Trail, throughout the Talladega National Forest. 25K The Rockin Choccolocco 25K will start and finish at the Cahulga Creek Park (lollipop course), 343 Mountain St in Heflin AL. The course will run 2 miles north from the Cahulga Creek Park on the Heflin Spur to Shoal Creek Trailhead where it will traverse on the Pinhoti Trail 7 miles to High Rock. At this point, runners will take FS 531 to FS 500 for approximately 1 mile. At FS 500, runners will turn left for approx .8 mile, and run to the first dirt road to your right. The course continues & will meet up with the Heflin Spur to carry you back into the Finish Line at Cahulga Creek Park. 10K The Rockin Choccolocco 10K will start and finish at the Cahulga Creek Park (out and back), 343 Mountain St in Heflin AL. The course will run north from the Cahulga Creek Park on the Heflin Spur through the Shoal Creek Trailhead onto the Pinhoti Trail for approx. .6 of a mile. At that point, runners will turn around at the sign and head back through Shoal Creek onto the Heflin Spur and back to the finish line at Cahulga Creek Park.

50K Bus Transportation From Cahulga Park to the Start (FS 532):

Bus tickets may be purchased at the time of registration or at a later time in the store for $15. Buses will depart from Cahulga Park at 5:55 am CST SHARP!

Parking at Cahulga Park:

As you come into Cahulga Park, please park to your left in the grassy area.

Restrooms:

Restrooms are available at the start/finish of all races.

Race Day Weather Conditions:

Expect any type of weather. Be prepared for any race conditions. The race has never been canceled due to weather conditions.

Important Information:

Online entry at Ultrasignup.com There will be no refunds, no race day registration, and no race entry transfers to another runner and no deferrals. The following are not allowed on course… any stroller, animals, bicycles, or unentered runners. Please keep all pets at least 50 feet from aid stations, start/finish line areas. Hotels are available in Heflin and Oxford, AL. Camping is available at Cahulga Creek Park. $10 donation to the City of Heflin (primitive camping), restrooms are available, no showers.
