I notice that the event dates in the description have inconsistencies (the page shows **Friday, May 29, 2026** and **Saturday, June 6, 2026** for the Westbank race, but also references 2025 dates in some places). The Rivershack River Run/Walk Series consists of two 2‑mile chip‑timed races: Race #1 (Eastbank) on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM CDT starting at Rivershack Tavern on River Road in New Orleans, LA; and Race #2 (Westbank) on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM CDT starting at Rivershack Gretna on the Levee Jogging Path in Gretna, LA. The series also includes a Beer Mile at each location (participants must be 21 years of age). All proceeds from the Beer Mile benefit Ainsley's Angels of Greater New Orleans, supporting inclusion and mobility for individuals with disabilities.

All participants must follow event rules. Puking during the Beer Mile incurs a 1/4‑mile penalty lap. Costumes are encouraged. Each runner receives a bib with a built‑in timing chip; bibs must be worn on the front of the body for accurate results. Race day registration and packet pickup begin at 4:30 PM for both locations. Ainsley's Angels Chariot Division (2 mile) starts at 6:00 PM, followed by runners/walkers at 6:05 PM, and the Beer Mile at 6:45 PM. Live music by Tank & Bill at the Eastbank race.

Register for one race: receive a custom event t‑shirt. Register for the series (both races): receive a t‑shirt and a custom finisher medal for completing both events. T‑shirt size guaranteed for registrations by Monday, May 22, 2026.
Packet pickup is also available on Wednesday, May 27 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 4153 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119.
Awards: Overall male and female winners; top male and female in age groups 0‑29, 30‑39, 40‑49, 50‑59, 60‑69, 70‑79, and 80+. Awards ceremony for each race.
Post‑race food provided by Rivershack Tavern; refreshments from Kentwood Springs, Elmer's CheeWees, Baker Maid products, and Bud Light/Budweiser beer.
