RIM RUNNER TRAIL RACES

Rim Runner showcases Franklin State Forest's West Rim and West Side trails: a big trail loop that runs miles along the rim overlooking the coves on either side. The start time is intentional to get runners to the East side of the course for the sunrise. The name: Rim Runner is named after how you will be running along the rim of a cove and also references Tennessee’s history of rum running (aka bootlegging) during the prohibition. If you're local, you'll be amazed this trail system is just a few miles from the Perimeter Trail and is this beautiful. We're very, very excited to draw attention to this area.

Retirement of the 100 Miler

The 100 mile distance will not be officially held in 2027. If you are set on getting one of the half pound steel buckles, email us and we'll tell you how.

Course/Official Finish Times

Half Marathon = 1,600ft of climbing 50k = 3,200ft of climbing 50 miler = 5,700ft of climbing 16 hour Official Finish for all distances.

Refunds/Deferrals

4+ weeks from event: 100% refund/deferral 2 - 4 weeks from event: 50% refund, 100% race credit/deferral (Refund is default when cancelling in US. Email for credit/deferral) 1 week from event: 50% race credit

Awards

Three layers of welded steel for the buckle. Sawed, hand-branded whiskey barrel staves for Half Marathon, 50k and 50 milers. One X for every time you've been distilled (each loop).
