About the Event

Thanks for your interest in the 2026 Ferncliff Forest Turkey Trot !! This event keeps Ferncliff Forest free for all to use year round. We are a private preserve and get no government money. Your generous support has allowed us to maintain the forest since 1964. We have NO paid directors, board members or executives.

The first 750 entries will get a soft cotton T shirt. You can reserve your shirt when signing up. Enter now the shirts do sell out. Last year we had almost 1000 runners !!

Race time is 8am We will do a gun start with chip timing, so if you are back in the pack your time will start when you cross the start line . All runners and walkers must start by 8:10 !

Kids under 5 are free, Kids in Stroller are Ok. Well behaved dogs on a leash are permitted.

Walkers are Welcome!, bring the whole family. Many others do!

!! Raffle !! For every $5 Donated (separate from entry) you will get 1 raffle chance! We will have a raffle of goods and services from local merchants, Gift Certificates, gas cards, frozen turkeys etc. Please use the Donation button to be entered in the raffle. $5 for each chance at winning a prize!

Church hall will open at 6:45 for all runners. Thurs morning entry available till 7:45

Early Pre Entering is best and gets you an event shirt. Shirts will sell out.

The Course
All on Paved road- Montgomery St /Mt Rutsen Road from Astor Dr. to Ferncliff Forest and back. Paved road course out and back. Gentle rolling Hills.

Awards to top 3 overall male and female finishers, top 3 male and female age group finishers. All Kids under 10 will receive an award.

Packet Pick-Up
Please try to pick up your bib and shirt the Wednesday night.

-Option #1: Pick up your bib and shirt at Rhinebeck Bagels, 31 W Market St, Rhinebeck. Wed Nov 25th between 5:00pm till 6:30pm. Please try to attend the Wednesday night pick-up option if possible.

-Option #2: Race Day bib pick-up starting 7:00am in the Baptist church Hall

About Rhinebeck

Rhinebeck is a township in Dutchess County, New York. The township encompasses the village of Rhinebeck and the hamlet of Rhinecliff. The downtown area of Rhinebeck is small enough to walk around within an hour or so, exclusive of extra time to visit churches and shops, have a meal, etc., and well worth it, as it is full of beautiful, lovingly decorated houses. It also has a beautifully preserved, functioning Roosevelt-era post office with murals that depict the history of the area and other interesting documentation.
