About the Event

The Rainbow Trail Run 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 7:00 AM EDT at Earl Rowe Provincial Park (Concession Road 7, Alliston, Ontario, Canada). This 5th annual event offers 62 km (5 loops), 50 km (4 loops), 24 km (2 loops), 12 km (1 loop), 6 km (half loop), and a virtual 12 km option — on a mostly flat, double‑wide trail with grass, dirt, rocks, roots, bridge crossings, and a short climb to the Lookout.

Event Logistics & Participant Information:

Race Kit Pickup: Begins at 7:15 AM and stays open until the last race starts.
Aid Stations: Two aid stations — one at start/finish, one halfway through the 12 km loop. Half loop (6 km) has a self‑serve water‑only station at 3 km. Aid stations have water, electrolytes, fruit, sweets, and salty snacks. Runners with dietary restrictions should bring their own.
CUP‑FREE EVENT: Each runner receives a FREE SpeedCup from HydraPak at race kit pickup. No disposable cups.
Drop Bags: Allowed at start/finish area (at your own risk). 10x10 tent designated for drop bags near loop exit. Runners may bring a shelter (≤10x10) — organizers will direct placement.
Cutoff: All loops must finish by 6:00 PM.
BBQ: Fires up around 10:45 AM. Meat and non‑meat options.
Park Entry: Race fee covers one vehicle entry. Additional vehicles pay park entry fee.
Post‑Race Amenities: Swimming, canoeing, and camping available at Earl Rowe (see camping options online).
No Pets / No Strollers allowed on course.
Headphones: No in‑ear headphones. Bone conduction style recommended.
Refund Policy: No refunds. If race cancelled for any reason, automatic deferral to 2027. Race Roster optional insurance available.
Distance Changes before race day: Through Race Roster account ($5 processing fee). Shorter distance — no refund of difference. Longer distance — pay the difference.
Timing: Chip timing by Chip Time Results. Results posted after event.

Awards: Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male/female in solo events acknowledged on podium with a special treat.
Community Partner — Procyon Wildlife Centre: Event supports Procyon Wildlife, a provincially licensed wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre near Beeton, Ontario (2021 Rehab Centre of the Year). Mission: rescue, rehabilitate, safely release wild animals, and promote public appreciation for wildlife preservation. Each year they care for hundreds of orphaned and injured wild animals.
Fundraising Goal: CA$1,000. Current raised: CA$220.46 (22%).
Virtual Run Option: Custom medal and rainbow socks shipped to Canadian addresses.
Virtual Treadmill Run: 60‑minute virtual treadmill run of Rainbow Trail Run available via Gotta Run Racing.
Course Naming: Named after “Rainbow Run” trail — for rainbow trout migration each spring.
