About the Event

Penrith, NSW. Sydney International Regatta Centre. The final race of the 2025/26 season — the PTC Duathlon returns on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM. Choose Sprint (14+ years), Enticer (12+ years), Junior, Sub‑Junior (7‑10 years), or Mini/Micro (3‑9 years). The bike leg takes participants around the cycle path (closed to the public). The run leg is held on the northern (grandstand) side of the Regatta Centre. Friendly, supportive environment. Run by Panthers Triathlon Club.

Sprint Duathlon (14+ years)
2.5 km run • 20 km bike • 5 km run

Enticer Duathlon (12+ years)
2 km run • 10 km bike • 2 km run

Junior Duathlon
Age‑appropriate distances (check race day) • For junior athletes

Sub‑Junior Duathlon (7‑10 years)
Short, fun distances • Perfect for young beginners

Mini/Micro Duathlon (3‑9 years)
Very short, age‑appropriate distances • Fun introduction to duathlon

Location — Sydney International Regatta Centre, Penrith:

Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) is a world‑class rowing and multi‑sport venue in Penrith, NSW (Western Sydney)
Address: Castlereagh Road, Penrith, NSW 2750
The bike leg uses the cycle path around the regatta lake — closed to the public during the event
The run leg is on the northern (grandstand) side of the centre, on paved paths
Flat, fast, and safe — ideal for first‑time duathletes and experienced racers alike

Schedule (Saturday, June 13, 2026):

12:30 PM — Set‑up begins
1:00 PM — Registration desk opens
1:45 PM — Registration desk closes
1:50 PM — Race briefing (Mini/Micro & Sub‑Junior)
2:00 PM — Mini/Micro & Sub‑Junior races commence
2:20 PM — Race briefing (Junior, Enticer & Sprint)
2:30 PM — Main races commence
After races — Race pack‑up (volunteers appreciated)

Course Map: Available on event website — duathlon run and bike loops clearly marked.

What's Included:

Chip timing (net time)
Finisher medal (for all participants)
Race bib and timing chip
Aid station on run course (water)
Medical support on course
Secure transition area with bike racks
Post‑race refreshments (snacks, water)
Age group awards (top 3 per category)
Overall awards (top 3 male/female for Sprint and Enticer)

Licensing & Membership:

PTC & Triathlon Australia members receive discounted entry fees
Triathlon Australia members who are not PTC members pay a higher fee
Non‑members (first‑time competitors) include an AusTri One Day License Fee in their entry

Logistics:

Parking available at Sydney International Regatta Centre (free parking — arrive early)
Public transport: Trains to Penrith Station, then bus or taxi to SIRC (approx 10 minutes)
Transition area opens at 12:30 PM — arrive early to set up
Bib pickup: on race day at registration desk (1:00‑1:45 PM)
No refunds? Check with Panthers Triathlon Club — typical for small club events, no refunds close to race day
No dogs allowed at the venue

Volunteers:

Help with set‑up, registration, course marshaling, water stations, and pack‑up
Volunteers appreciated — contact Panthers Triathlon Club via their Facebook page

Spectator Info:

Free spectator access
Best viewing: grandstand area (run finish), transition area, and along the bike course near the start/finish
Café and amenities available at the Regatta Centre
