BMF Hounslow Training Run Perry's-Lockleys-Pinnacles Return is scheduled to take place on July 12th in Blue Mountains National Park, New South Wales, Australia. This training event offers a challenging and scenic route that will test both seasoned runners and those looking for a tough workout.
The race starts at Perry's Lookdown Car Park, descending the steep 2.5km stairs into the Grose Valley. Runners then cross the river, climb rugged trails up Lockleys to reach the summit of the Pylon. From there, participants will navigate tricky single tracks to the Pinnacles Car Park before returning along their original route. The optional turn around at Lockleys Pylon allows for a shorter run while still providing an intense challenge.
BMF has been operating in this region since 16 years ago, training runners for the Hounslow Classic and other tough courses like UTA. Known as one of only a few companies with National Parks and Wildlife ECO PASS licensing to carry out runs within Blue Mountains National Park, BMF brings experience and expertise to every session.
The event offers not just a race but an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the challenging terrain that awaits on Hounslow Marathon day. With three pace groups—Mighty Turtles, Hares, and Medium paced—you can choose your path based on comfort level and fitness goals.

Bibs can be picked up at Blue Mountains National Park Visitor Centre on July 8th, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Bring your ID and payment proof if you have registered online. Ensure you bring the Hounslow Classic mandatory gear as per event requirements.
The start location is Perry's Lookdown Car Park. The race is open to runners of all ages but note that there are no age restrictions mentioned here. First-timers should come prepared with the right gear and a positive attitude, as this training run will provide valuable insights into the Hounslow Marathon course.
