The PROVITAL BACKYARD ULTRA in Gran Canaria is a unique endurance event following the global Backyard Ultra format, where participants must complete a 6.7km loop every hour for as long as they can continue. Unlike traditional ultramarathons, this challenge focuses on consistency rather than speed, with each loop starting precisely on the hour and participants having up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds to finish. The event welcomes all fitness levels—from those attempting just one loop to seasoned ultra-runners—emphasizing personal achievement over competition. Scheduled for May 22, 2026, this second edition combines athletic challenge with charitable fundraising, with proceeds supporting a local association.
