Prairie Spirit Trail

The Prairie Spirit Trail Race offers an enchanting journey through picturesque Kansas towns on its crushed limestone and asphalt paths. Starting from Ottawa, runners embark on an out-and-back course that winds south to destinations like Iola for the 100-mile race, Welda for the 100K event, Garnett for the 50 miles, or Richmond for the 50K distance before returning north to the finish line. With aid stations every five miles (no more than six miles apart), runners enjoy well-stocked supplies and easy access for crew support throughout their journey.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with family-friendly spots where supporters can relax and cheer on participants. The flat terrain makes this event ideal for both newcomers looking to experience a scenic run and seasoned athletes aiming to set personal records. Post-race meals await all finishers at the Celebration Hall in Ottawa, providing a perfect setting to celebrate achievements alongside fellow runners.
Registration includes exclusive custom belt buckles or medals upon completion of each race distance within designated time limits. Pre-payment for merchandise is available until February 28th, ensuring participants can secure their gear ahead of time.
