Pirin Ultra

Pirin Ultra invites trail runners to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Pirin National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning alpine scenery and challenging terrain. Since its inception in September 2016, this mountain ultramarathon has become an integral part of the World Skyrunning series, offering routes that cater to all levels of endurance runners. The ninth edition, held from September 11 to 13, 2026, features four distinct courses: a grueling 160K Route A for seasoned athletes, a classic 66K mountain terrain course (Route B), the intense Pirin Extreme at 38K (Route C), and a more accessible 25K option (Route D) that introduces newcomers to the park's majestic beauty. Each route offers unparalleled views of rugged peaks, dense forests, and pristine alpine meadows, making it an unforgettable adventure for trail runners seeking both challenge and scenic splendor.
