PIONER CUP 2 etap Mass-start'27

On January 16, 2027, the biathlon community descends upon the iconic Luzhniki Stadium for an exhilarating day of competition. The centerpiece is the Sprint race, where athletes traverse three loops of either 2.5 km or 2.2 km, depending on their category, and face two shooting stages—prone and standing positions—with penalties incurred by missed shots requiring a punishing 100-meter penalty loop for those in the main categories.
For an added challenge, the Master race sees competitors carry personal rifles across five loops of 1.5 km or 1.2 km with four shooting stages. The first two are prone while the last two require standing positions; any missed shots result in a mandatory 150-meter penalty loop.
The day also features a mass start event, where athletes begin in waves of twenty and face three loops of 1.5 kilometers each along with their shooting challenges.
In addition to these main events, there’s the Estafeta relay race, which involves teams of four completing multiple laps while navigating two firing ranges per lap without carrying weapons.
For those looking for a unique twist on competition, “BiathLaw” invites legal professionals and law students to participate in an additional category with its own set of rules. The event also includes a Sniper Championship where spectators can test their marksmanship skills against the backdrop of biathlon excitement.
Competitors will find themselves immersed in the dynamic atmosphere at Luzhniki Stadium as they push through challenging terrain, precise shooting stages, and intense competition.
