Embark on an unforgettable adventure at Pikes Peak Ultra, where Mad Moose Events brings together some of Colorado Springs' most breathtaking trails. This ultra marathon was born from Race Director Justin Ricks’ childhood dream and has been delighting runners since its inception in 2015.
The journey begins at Bear Creek Regional Park, setting the stage for a challenging yet rewarding course that winds through High Drive into Cheyenne Canon’s scenic beauty. Here, you’ll tackle the iconic Seven Bridges Trail before ascending to Pipeline Trail. The majority of the route features crushed granite paths, characteristic of Colorado Springs’ trail system, providing runners with stunning vistas of Pikes Peak along parts of the Ring the Peak Trail.
For those up for an even greater challenge, the 50K and 50 Mile courses offer a summit climb on Mt. Rosa. From this lofty vantage point, panoramic views of the city sprawl out below, making it all worth the ascent. The course’s varied terrain and breathtaking natural scenery make Pikes Peak Ultra not just a race but an immersive experience for ultrarunners.
