Pikes Peak Ultra invites trail runners to experience some of Colorado Springs' most captivating trails. The race, brought to life by Race Director Justin Ricks and Mad Moose Events in 2015, offers an unforgettable adventure through the scenic High Drive and Cheyenne Canon areas.
The journey begins at Bear Creek Regional Park, where participants are greeted with a challenging yet rewarding course. As runners progress up High Drive, they encounter the iconic Seven Bridges Trail within Cheyenne Canon, known for its picturesque views of Pikes Peak. The majority of the race is run on crushed granite trails, a signature feature of Colorado Springs' trail system.
For those taking part in the 50K and 100 Mile distances, summiting Mt. Rosa becomes an additional highlight. From this vantage point, runners are treated to panoramic views over the city below, making for truly memorable moments on the course.
