Piglione Trail

The Ultra Piglione Trail offers runners an unforgettable journey through the rugged beauty of Italy's Apuan Alps. Set for October 17, 2027, this challenging trail race features three distinct distances: the ultra marathon at 56 kilometers with a dramatic elevation gain of over 3,200 meters; the classic marathon route covering 36 kilometers and climbing nearly 2,000 meters; and the shorter but no less scenic half-marathon distance of 19 kilometers with an ascent of more than 1,100 meters. Each course follows historic trails that wind through pristine forests, past picturesque mountain huts, and up to the summit of Monte Pignone, offering breathtaking views at every turn.
Runners will experience a true essence of Apuan Alpine culture as they traverse ancient paths lined with wildflowers and towering peaks. The race is certified by ITRA for its 50K qualifier status on both the long and ultra courses, making it ideal for trail runners seeking to build their endurance and earn valuable points towards international rankings.
The Ultra Piglione Trail promises a day of adventure and natural splendor, where every step reveals new vistas and challenges.
