Join the 13th Annual Pi Day 5K Race Weekend, an exciting celebration of mathematics and community service set for March 12-13, 2027. This beloved Green Bay tradition is organized by a dedicated team of fifth-grade students from Leonardo da Vinci School, who have been working tirelessly to ensure this year’s event will be the best yet. On Friday, March 12th, participants can pick up their race packets and purchase raffle tickets at Leonardo da Vinci Gymnasium. The packet pickup runs from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Doty Street, with door #3 providing direct access for a convenient experience. Don’t miss the opportunity to get your t-shirt in advance as supplies are limited; arrive early to secure yours. Race day activities kick off bright and early on Saturday, March 13th, beginning at 7:00 am with packet pickup until 7:45 am outside Leonardo da Vinci School. The race program starts promptly at 7:45 am followed by the official start of the run at 8:00 am sharp from Doty Street. The route itself is a scenic journey through Green Bay, offering participants a chance to experience local landmarks and neighborhoods while enjoying the camaraderie among runners. Upon crossing the finish line, indulge in finishing snacks and stay for the raffle prize drawings. Raffle tickets are available at both packet pickup events on Friday and Saturday morning. This year’s proceeds will benefit Mission of Honor – Old Glory Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring local veterans who served prior to May 7, 1975. Since its inception in 2009, the organization has been providing free trips for these honored heroes to Washington D.C., ensuring they receive the recognition and gratitude they deserve. The race is open to everyone—whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for some fun on Pi Day. There’s no better way to support this worthy cause than by participating in this unique event that blends educational enthusiasm with community spirit. Don’t forget, online registration must be completed by February 20th if you want your t-shirt in the correct size. So mark your calendars and join us for a day of running, raffles, and recognition as we celebrate Pi Day with a twist! See you there at Leonardo da Vinci School on March 13, 2027. Please note: pets are not allowed to participate in this event.
