Perezluha Coaching Time Trial Series #10 (11-8-26)
About the Event
Experience the thrill of Florida's premier time trial series, set to take place at the picturesque Florida Polytechnic University campus. This event, known as the 2026 Perezluha Coaching Time Trial Series, offers a unique blend of competitive racing and professional coaching for riders aged 14 through 99. The series kicks off on February 15th with regular start times at 9:00 AM, pending participation. For those seeking an intense challenge, the Aero Style categories begin at 10:00 AM. Categories include a mix of road bikes and time trial bikes, paracycles, handcycles, tandems, recumbents, two-person team time trials, and fixed gear setups. Registration opens from 7:15 to 8:45 AM on race days for all categories except the Time Trial Bike and related subcategories. Participants can expect a structured warm-up session starting at 8:10 AM with a detailed course preview, safety briefing, pacing tips, and wind forecasts provided by an experienced coach. The courses are designed to test your limits across various distances: - An 8-mile time trial out and back (2 turnarounds) - A 15-kilometer time trial (3 turnarounds), similar but slightly longer than the 8-mile course - An 8.5-mile special edition time trial These courses offer a perfect setting with minimal traffic, long straightaways, and bike lanes, making them ideal for both training and competition. Parking is conveniently located on Research Way near the west junction of Research Way and University Boulevard, just west of the western entrance to Florida Polytechnic University. Free parking is available, ensuring easy access for all participants. Following each time trial segment, awards ceremonies will recognize top performers in their respective categories at 10:45 AM. The day concludes with a group ride ranging from 30 to 50 miles, offering both moderate and harder pace options, starting at 10:00 AM. For those looking to excel over the entire series, overall awards will be given based on the best eight results out of ten races, with medals for category leaders and trophies for champions. The points system rewards top performances, with first place earning a substantial 30 points. Join this exhilarating event at Florida Polytechnic University from February through November, where you can push your boundaries, receive expert coaching, and compete in one of the most scenic time trial locations in the region.
