Pembrokeshire Coastal Races offers an unforgettable coastal trail running experience along the rugged cliffs of Wales. This unique series features four point-to-point races—100 miles, 50 miles, 50 kilometers, and a marathon—all culminating at the picturesque Dale cliff-top campsite.
The event takes place on June 11, 2027, providing runners with an opportunity to traverse some of Britain's most breathtaking coastline. The routes follow the Pembrokeshire & Wales Coast Path, renowned for its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, sweeping beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Each race offers a distinct challenge, from the grueling endurance test of 100 miles (5,850 meters ascent) to the more manageable yet equally scenic Trail Marathon (1,486 meters).
The starting points are spread across four stunning coastal towns: Cardigan, Porthgain, St Davids, and Solva. Each location presents a unique character with its own charm and beauty, ensuring that runners experience diverse landscapes throughout their journey.
Well-supported checkpoints along the route provide essential refreshments and hot food at major stops, catering to both novice and seasoned trail runners alike. The race courses are self-navigated but clearly marked with Coast Path signs, GPS files, and additional markers for tricky sections. For convenience, coach transport is available from Dale to each start line.
Upon reaching the finish line overlooking Milford Haven, participants will find a bustling cliff-top event village complete with camping facilities, food vendors, showers, parking areas, and medical support. The atmosphere at the festival-style campsite encourages camaraderie among runners and their supporters, turning what could be just another race into an immersive coastal adventure.
