PECO XC Junior League 2026-27 Race 4

The PECO Junior Cross Country League offers young runners across Leeds and its surrounding areas an exciting series of five cross-country races tailored to their age groups and skill levels. This league is designed specifically for junior athletes, providing them with the opportunity to compete against peers in a challenging yet supportive environment.
For younger participants aged under 11 years old as of September 1, 2026 (typically corresponding to school years 2 through 6), each race covers approximately one mile. These races start at 10:00 AM and are meticulously timed using chip technology for accurate results. Older juniors who turn 11 by September 1, 2026 but have not reached their sixteenth birthday (usually school years 7 through 11) will run a distance of around two miles starting at 10:20 AM.
Participants can secure entry into the league in several ways. The most convenient option is purchasing a season ticket online for just £6, which grants access to all remaining races and includes admission to the end-of-season relays as well as the prize presentation ceremony. Once registered, you won't need to register again throughout the entire season; simply collect your race number at your first event and use it for subsequent competitions.
Alternatively, entry on a per-race basis is possible by paying £4 directly at each individual race day registration desk. However, note that online purchase of season tickets remains mandatory if you wish to take advantage of this discounted rate.
All entrants will receive an official race number embedded with a timing chip, which must be kept throughout the entire league period. In case of loss or damage to your assigned number, replacements are available for £2.50 from Race Headquarters on event days.
The PECO Junior Cross Country League is open not only to members of established running clubs but also welcomes individuals who can associate themselves with a club name upon registration.
