Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the inaugural Xingyi Peak Forest Karst Trail Run, scheduled for December 4-6, 2026. This unique race unfolds across stunning landscapes of the Wanfenglin Scenic Area and Malin River Canyon in Guizhou Province's Qiannan Miao and Buyei Autonomous Prefecture. Participants can choose from three challenging courses: a scenic 16K route through rural trails, a more demanding 28K course exploring hidden mountain peaks, or an epic 50K trek that winds along the dramatic Malin River Canyon.
The race weekend kicks off with packet pickup in Xingyi city on December 4th. The following day, runners will take to the trailhead at Wanfenglin Scenic Area where they'll encounter a mosaic of natural wonders, from towering karst peaks and lush green valleys to serene lakes nestled among rolling hills.
Xingyi is renowned for its strategic location in southwestern Guizhou, bordering Yunnan and Guangxi provinces. The area captivated the famous Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake who famously remarked on the unique beauty of these "forests of mountains." Here, you'll experience a blend of rugged terrain and tranquil waters, dotted with traditional villages inhabited by Miao and Buyei ethnic groups.
This event offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of China’s karst landscape while pushing your limits through varied terrains. Runners will traverse paths that wind between towering limestone formations and along the dramatic cliffs overlooking the Malin River Canyon, making this a must-experience for trail runners seeking both challenge and beauty.
Join us to discover why Xingyi is celebrated as one of China’s most picturesque regions, known affectionately as "Mizhugoldenland" for its serene natural beauty.
