OSENNIY GANDIKAP -- 2026

On November 4, 2026, the city of Yoshkar-Ola will host a festive handicap race dedicated to Unity Day and the birthday celebration of the "Ayvika" running club. Organized by the Lenin Palace of Culture Municipal Autonomous Institution, this unique event is set in the picturesque Victory Park.
Participants ranging from seasoned runners to enthusiastic newcomers can join this 10-kilometer course that winds through scenic park paths. The race format ensures a fair start for all ages; older competitors begin first with younger athletes following at intervals based on age groups. This staggered start adds an element of excitement as racers overtake one another throughout the route.
The event welcomes runners aged 16 and above, who must present a medical certificate allowing participation in physical activities or sign a liability waiver if they do not have one. The race begins promptly at 11:00 AM with participants completing ten laps around Victory Park's paths, each lap measuring approximately 980 meters.
A hydration station will be available along the course to keep runners refreshed as they navigate the park’s winding trails and historic landmarks. Following the race, a ceremony honoring top finishers will take place at noon near the "Workers of the Rear" monument or inside the Lenin Palace of Culture. Medals and certificates await the first three male and female winners.
