About the Event

Experience the raw beauty of the open range at the Open Range Gravel Race, an ultra-endurance bicycle adventure that challenges both seasoned and ambitious cyclists. The race starts sharp at 8:00 AM on your chosen course—200k for those seeking a significant challenge or the more manageable 100k+ route.
The 200k course stretches between approximately 125 to 132 miles, offering a rugged and remote journey through some of the state's most scenic landscapes. For participants who may find maintaining an average speed of 10 mph challenging, there’s also the option for a shorter distance—the 100k+ race begins at 8:30 AM, while the 50ish route kicks off just after.
Riders can rely on the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department's comprehensive support services. They offer drop bag delivery and extraction to ensure you have everything you need throughout your journey. Sign up for this service if you require additional supplies or want them returned at designated points along the course.
Key checkpoints will be located in Sun City around mile 35 and Medicine Lodge approximately at mile 80, where participants can find essential provisions like water and light snacks to keep going strong. For those tackling the longer distance of 200k, two drop bags are available—one for each checkpoint—to help sustain you through your ride.
While transfers up until registration closure are allowed, refunds on race fees cannot be given once issued. Consider investing in BikeReg’s race insurance as a safety net should unforeseen circumstances arise. All proceeds from the Open Range Gravel Race support local non-profit organizations and benefit the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department.
