Devon's Running Events is thrilled to invite you to the Cider Challenge weekend, scheduled for July 23rd through 25th, 2027. This unique gathering combines running and walking challenges with an array of social activities and camping opportunities on a picturesque field in Devon. Campers can enjoy scenic views while setting up their own spots on the grassy terrain—just remember to bring your own tent stakes and torches as no power or illumination is provided. The site offers drinking water points, basic facilities such as toilets (bring your own toilet paper), warm showers, and catered food options at varying times throughout the weekend. The event kicks off on Friday evening with a 5k run starting at 7 PM followed by a non-stop 24-hour challenge beginning right after. For those who prefer shorter stints, there's also an overnight 12-hour night challenge that starts simultaneously. On Saturday morning, another 12-hour endurance test begins at 8 AM. The fun continues on Sunday with several races tailored to different preferences: the Bell & Bumble Tad Longer Plod and Short Plod starting at 9 AM for those who enjoy a steady pace, along with an Apple Plod 10k race set to start at 10:30 AM. These events cater to runners of all levels, from casual joggers to serious competitors. Social activities round out the weekend’s offerings, including Friday night entertainment and opportunities for fancy dress and dancing. It's a chance to catch up with friends or make new ones while enjoying everything Devon has to offer. Campsite fees are charged per sleeping pitch, accommodating extra people and pets at no additional cost. Pre-booked campers receive this rate without any administration surcharges; however, walk-in camping is available but subject to availability and an added £5 fee on the day of arrival. Join us for a weekend that blends athletic challenges with camaraderie in one of England’s most beautiful landscapes. For more information or to register, visit our website. See you there!
